The number one thing I love about Expression Engine is that I can have multiple weblogs each with custom fields. What I don’t love about this is that I have a gazillion templates to update. I can’t use the homogenous templating thing because all the fields are customized.
I’ve made a couple of small changes.
- smileys are now inline
- comments can be previewed live (thanks to this and this)
- wrote a paragraph about member registration
- all 4 weblogs now show up on the main site
- all 4 weblogs have their own RSS 2.0 feed
- I created a new RSS feed that has entries for all 4 of the weblogs here
- blatherskite (links log) and words have changed URLs. They both used to be in a separate subdomain but I decided not to do that anymore because it’s too redundant in EE.
Things that still are messed up
- I can’t get the comments page to validate without hacking into the code.
- Member information isn’t skinned yet
In my last entry, I said “some of the pages might look wonky”. I never say the word wonky in real life. ![]()

ever since i heard the word “wonky” on Buffy, i’ve been saying it ever since… even in my own blog… but not excessively. because it’s a silly sounding word.

It is a silly sounding word. Maybe I heard it on buffy, too?
