Viruses are making you stronger

Wednesday, January 28, 2004

In this article, they mentioned that Bill Gates said computer viruses and hackers helped make Microsoft products more secure. That could be true, but at what expense? Millions of users who rely on their products (mainly the operating system) are going to suffer because it wasn’t secure in the first place.

It reminds me of this thing that my friend said, that if you get sick when you’re younger, it makes you grow taller because your body becomes stronger while you fight the virus. I didn’t believe her when I heard it, but a lot of the people in my class at the time believed that too!

Oh, and while I’m still talking about viruses, there’s a new worm floating around. I got a couple of suspicious looking emails today, which might have been that.

Edit: Also, what’s this?!? Sir Gates?

I heard on CNN that Gates said spam would be beaten for good in only a few years.. I wonder how they are going to do that. Yes, every time they improve computers because of virus-attacks, people will create new ones, just because they can. I don’t see an end coming to this any time soon..
