Tricky’s Riddles - Addicting
Wednesday, October 05, 2005
I’ve been spending hours playing Tricky’s Riddles. There are many levels to the game. On each level you have to solve a riddle, and use the answer to manipulate the URL to get to the next level. If you get the answer wrong you get an error page. (And I’ve seen that error page many times!) I’m working on Level 55 now. Some levels are harder than others, and the forums are really great in giving you clues. I’ve also kept a list of all of the URLs up to where I am right now, so if you need any clues, ask! ![]()
Would You Rather?
Friday, May 20, 2005
I wanted to come up with a poll question today, but I couldn’t decide on anything. So instead I’ll link to WouldYouRather.co.uk, where there is a whole bunch of “would you rather?” questions.
Some questions are:
Would you rather
a) be a significant nobody
b) be an insignificant somebody
Would you rather
a) have one really close best friend
b) have lots of friends?
If you’re like me and like taking polls, the site will be fun. ;)
Good Night everybody
Friday, January 28, 2005
I was bored earlier, so I created a little painting over at art.com’s artPad. It’s done in Flash and you get to see all the brush strokes I used.
It’s night over here, I’m going to shut down my comp now and do some reading, so, Good Night, everybody.

A Sims 2 Blog
Friday, January 14, 2005
I’ve been playing the Legacy Challenge with my Sims for a few weeks now. The Legacy Challenge is a challenge to produce a strong Sims family that spans many generations. It’s been a lot of fun (but the hardest rule to follow is that there are NO cheats), and I took tons upon tons of screencaptures while I was doing it. So I finally decided to set up a Sims blog, to record everything. It’s all set up now, and I’ve already made one entry to introduce everyone.
I did struggle over whether or not to use the EE image gallery module or to use a normal weblog, but in the end I went with a normal weblog, because there’s much more control.
Anyways, if you’re into the Sims or you like reading blogs about the Sims, do check mine out.
Sims 2 University and To Do List
Tuesday, November 23, 2004
The first expansion pack for The Sims 2, Sims 2 University, will released in March 2005. Looking at the screenshots and interviews, it looks amazing! Can’t wait.
I haven’t really been able to play the original Sims 2 game as much as I’d like, though. Here’s some of the things I have yet to see/do:
- Have the male get abducted and get pregnant
- Have twins
- Have one of the sims see a ghost
- Have a death by aging (I keep on using that elixir of life, because I don’t want my sims to die!!)
- Reach the top of all the different careers

Read this metafilter post before you read my comments in the ‘more’ part. You’ll have to watch a video - and as a warning, that video took a while to load.

Sims 2 Story
Friday, October 01, 2004
This is really weird. On Wednesday night, I found I wasn’t able to access my web site. I couldn’t access Google either. I thought I’d just go to sleep and check to see whether the site was still down in the morning. All Thursday, my site was down. But so was Google! I couldn’t believe that the Google website would be inaccessible for that long of a time.
This morning (Friday), I went downstairs and reset the router. And voila! I could access both sites! I have no idea what happened and why it was those two sites only that I couldn’t access.
Anyway, back to the topic of this post. I made a little photo album/blog of one of my Sims 2 families, the Cranes. (I was inspired by Lynda’s Sims Blog, although mine’s not as interesting.) It’s now uploaded on the Story Exchange. It was fun to make, but very tiring to write up a paragraph on each picture.
Color in Motion
Tuesday, June 29, 2004
You have to see Color in Motion, “an animated and interactive experience of colour communication and colour symbolism.” It’s so cool! I found it on del.icio.us last night. You have to watch all the movies, too. The music and animation are ... wow. ![]()
Petals Around The Rose

That’s a closest version of me, as rendered by this portrait illustration maker. :p They are supposed to be the perfect size for a MSN Messenger icon. Maybe I could use a smaller version as a member avatar? Heh.
Human Body & Mind Tests
Sunday, May 16, 2004
The BBC Human Body & Mind section has a huge list of surveys and psychological tests. For example, there’s one called Spot the Fake Smile where you look at photos of people smiling and guess whether they’re really smiling or not. I took this one a while ago and I got 14 out of 20.
I might complete all of these tests one day when I’m bored.
Scribbler

Happy Mother’s Day to any mothers out there! ![]()
This morning I was playing with Scribbler. It’s this Flash illustration tool. You draw a simple picture, and the Scribbler will redraw it for you, except using different colours and more lines. You can see the results of a drawing I made of a bear*. It looks much better than my original drawing!
Here’s another one of Calvin*.

My site has been invaded by tanks, fighter planes, and dragons breathing fire! Very exciting. You can watch the action here. ![]()
Garfield Comic
Friday, April 16, 2004
Out of boredom I made myself a little Garfield comic today! Using a nifty Comic Creator.
You can see mine here. I had to go over the text again.
