What’s playing now
Tuesday, June 08, 2004
I’ve got a “Now Playing” image running on my site. You can see it here or at its permanent location on my about me page. I’m using the AMIP plug-in for iTunes. I need to play around with the configuration some more. And I need to find a font that’ll display all the special characters. :p
Game 7
Monday, June 07, 2004
I’m not much of a hockey fan, but on Saturday during dinner my brother started watching the Calgary Flames / Tampa Bay Lightning game, and I ended up watching it with him. Now I’m all excited for Game 7, the final game, which is showing right now. Go Flames!
Petals Around The Rose

Ahaahahah! I finally figured out the game Petals Around The Rose! :beam: That game had been bothering me for weeks.
Get Fuzzy Plushes
Saturday, June 05, 2004
These Get Fuzzy plushies are so adorable! Bucky (the cat) looks good, but Satchel looks too stiff. I’d love to get one of Bucky since I won’t be able to get one of Hobbes.
My New Desktop

I totally fell in love with this Firefox theme called Charamel. But, it didn’t match with the rest of my Windows theme and it looked out of place. Then earlier today I found the perfect Style XP style to match it, called Caramel Heartfelt. I made a matching background, and it looks amazing! I have a screenshot here. :heart:
What happened?
Friday, June 04, 2004
I downloaded the latest build of Expression Engine, and put the uploaded files onto my server, and then for some reason my front page stopped working!
I had it set up so I display content from different blogs on the front page, formatted differently depending on which blog it is. The front page will now temporarily just display entries from my main blog until I figure out how to fix it.

I’m worth $4.63

If you scan in my custom barcode, I’m worth $4.63. That’s a bit pathetic, isn’t it?
Manicure Accessories
Thursday, June 03, 2004
Check out this cordless manicure kit. There’s a product description, two photos and a link for accessories. When you click on the accessories, though, there’s a list of product categories such as batteries, blade sharpening, drill bits, sawing attachments, and tables and stands. I had no idea you needed all this stuff for a manicure! :p
...
The other day my mom gave me this manicure kit. It was a very strange gift, because I never bother to do my nails. There kit has this battery powered manicure thingy like the one above, and a ton of nail polish and nail hardeners and cuticle softeners etc. It doesn’t come with any detailed instructions, so I don’t even know how to start using it. :confused: Tried searching on the Internet for tips but I haven’t found anything useful yet.

So, last year my parents moved to a new house, and I moved into a new room. Up until May it was just a place for me to sleep when I went home on the weekends, but now that school’s over I’m back here permanently. I decided to decorate it. I had dozens upon dozens of posters and pictures to choose from. I used my dad’s camera and took some Before and After shots so I could see the difference.
Now I’ve finally gotten around to putting up some photos of my room. I’d been meaning to put it up for weeks now. They were posted on my LJ already back then, I just held off on linking it on my main blog. Then, I converted my blog over to EE and during that time I forgot about putting them up. I put up some really old photos too.

Code Humour
Tuesday, June 01, 2004
Yesterday my brother told me about this Firefox plugin called Mouse Gestures that allows you to navigate faster using your mouse. So last night I installed it, and it already has TOTALLY changed the way I surf. Surfing is so much faster now! I use mouse gestures to go backwards, forwards, open a new tab, and open a new window. There are a lot more supported gestures to learn too. ![]()
Now, on to what I actually wanted to post. There’s this article on code humour over at kuro5hin. There are several examples of funny code, and the author asked for others to post more examples. I have some of my own.
Here’s one my friend did on a Java assignment back in First Year (University):
do
{
/* some stuff I forget */
} while ( fat_lady != singing );
He changed it later, but I did think it was hilarious.
As for me, I’ve done this kind of thing lots of times with error checking:
int user;
scanf( “%d”, &user );
if ( user == stupid ) {
print("Error");
}
I’ve left this unchanged and submitted it as an assignment several times.
