Alias is a TV show that has recently finished its third season. It’s about Sydney Bristow, a secret agent who was recruited into an operation called the SD-6. She was led to believe she was working as part of the CIA, and she had to keep her job as a secret from everyone she knew. When she told her fiancee about her job as a spy, SD-6 had him killed. That’s when she learned that she wasn’t working for the CIA, but for the enemy that she believed she was fighting against. Sydney then became a double agent, continuing on with SD-6, but giving all of her intel to her CIA handler, Michael Vaughn. Season 1 is about her life as a double agent, having to lie to her friends and co-workers, and about developing a relationship with her estranged father, who also happens to be a double agent.

This book follows the story of Robert Langdon, an American symbologist. He’s called in to Switzerland to help solve the murder of a prominent physicist. He was apparently murdered by a group called the Illuminati, who are enemies of the Catholic church. But, the Illuminati was supposed to have disbanded years ago. Langdon finds that the physicist was working on a new technology, and this technology was stolen and placed in Vatican City. The technology has the potential to blow up all of Vatican City, and it’s up to Langdon and the physicist’s daughter to retrieve this technology.
