The story is set in Africa. Tessa (Rachel Weisz), the wife of a British diplomat Justin Quayle (Ralph Fiennes), is found brutally murdered out in the desert. The man who was travelling with Tessa had disappeared. Justin, who was devastated, goes on a mission to find out who killed his wife. Through flashbacks, we learn how Justin and Tessa met, and Tessa’s suspiscious behaviour before she died. As Justin digs deeper he discovers what his wife was working on, and that some powerful people who were behind his wife’s death – people who now would kill him, too. The movie is based on a novel by John Le Carre.

When he arrives at the airport in New York, the custom officials are faced with a dilmemma – Navorski’s not allowed into the U.S., and he cannot go back to his home country. The airport official Frank Dixon (Stanley Tucci) is forced to make Navorski stay in the airport until things are sorted out. While living in the airport, Navorski learns English, makes friends with the employees, gets a job, meets a girl (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and wins over most of the people working at the airport!

Joey studies at Worthington College, and she gets involved with her professor, gets mugged, and sings in bars. Jack and Jen go to the nearby Boston Bay College. Jack gets accepted into a fraternity, abandons his old friends, and stops studying. Jen gets involved with a guy who ends up cheating on her, volunteers at the college radio station, and goes out with Dawson. Dawson, who went to film school in California for the summer, returns to the east coast because he didn’t like it out there. Then he stays in Boston after the death of his father, going to the local film school and directing a movie. Pacey’s boat docks in Boston, and he stays too when he finds a job as a cook in a local restaurant.

When they realize that the clues lead to a map at the back of the Declaration of Independence, Ian offers to steal the document. Ben didn’t want to ruin the declaration, so Ian tried to kill Ben and steal it for himself. Now Ben has to steal the Declaration of Indepence first, before Ian gets to it. Diane Kruger, Riley Poole, and Jon Voight also star.

Besides being a jerk, Dawson bonds with an old man, and goes out with Pacey’s sister. Jen gets dumped by Henry. Andie gets accepted into Harvard and leaves the show halfway through the season. Jack gets injured playing football and turns to coaching soccer. All of them worry about college and what’ll happen after graduation. There are a couple of new characters - Drue, the trouble maker, Gretchen, Pacey’s sister, and Mr. Brooks, an old retired movie director.

Somewhere up in the Arctic, NASA scientists find an object buried deep under the ice. This object is an incredible discovery that will impact the entire world. More importantly, it will boost the credibility of the U.S. president Zach Herney, who is struggling in the upcoming elections. He asks several civilians to go to the Arctic to verify the discovery, including Rachel Sexton, an NRO employee and Michael Tolland, a respected scientist who has his own TV show. But what they find up in the ice is a hoax and an enormous cover-up, which they have to find a way to reveal the cover-up to the public without getting killed.

This movie takes place during the Civil War in the United States. Two people, Inman (Jude Law) and Ada (Nicole Kidman), who barely know each other, are pulled apart when Inman has to go to war. Ada promises to wait for Inman, but the war drags on and she has to find a way to survive. In the meantime, Inman is wounded several times, and he decides to desert the army to make his way back to Cold Mountain and Ada.
