Somewhere up in the Arctic, NASA scientists find an object buried deep under the ice. This object is an incredible discovery that will impact the entire world. More importantly, it will boost the credibility of the U.S. president Zach Herney, who is struggling in the upcoming elections. He asks several civilians to go to the Arctic to verify the discovery, including Rachel Sexton, an NRO employee and Michael Tolland, a respected scientist who has his own TV show. But what they find up in the ice is a hoax and an enormous cover-up, which they have to find a way to reveal the cover-up to the public without getting killed.

In this movie, a wealthy corporation spots some weird heat activity deep beneath the ice in Antarctica. It’s a pyramid which seems to comprise of elements from different ancient civilizations. The company’s owner, Weyland, gathers a team of scientists and engineers to go to Antarctica and explore the pyramid. And of course, the team meets something else there ... a battle between alien and predator.

OK, I admit I started reading this book because I saw Johnny Depp’s face on the cover of it.
The book consists of four novellas, one of which is ‘Secret Window, Secret Garden’, the novella which the movie Secret Window is based upon. I haven’t seen the movie, and I wanted to read the book first.
